Rg7420 or RG1527?

Choice between the two. Everyone seems to be bashing the trem of the 7420. I have no way of playing these where I am, so opinions would be greatly appreciated.

7 strings are so cool.

Reasons to get the RG1527: no trem problems, no tuning problems, VERY nice neck and fret dressing.

If you're on a budget and you don't use the trem much, the 7420 might be for you.

ive heard the 1527 are inferior becuase of teh tremolo, something about the non locking studs or something?

I've heard the non-locking studs cause a minor problem, but are easily replaced with the old-style studs.

The trem post problem is a minor one and easily solved by clicking on Rich's swirly link at the top of the page. I would still prefer a stock Edge Pro 7 over the lo TRS 7 on the 7420.
