RG7421 PICS

Here it is, the rescued RG7421 (year of birth: 2000). Just a cheapie bought from the Bay (£150) which no-one wanted to give a good home. It was looking a little neglected when I got it (see the last pic), and so the transformation begins! This one will eventually have a custom 3-ply pickguard (B/W/B), white knob set, and white pickups, possibly Dimarzio D-Activators.

The added switch is rather silly. It is basically a kill switch. The new pickguard will cover it, so no worries.

CHILLIN' WITH IT'S BRO, THE RG550 20th ANNIVERSARY

HIGHLY POLISHED FRETS

EVEN THE PICKUP MOUNTING PLATES GOT HIGHLY POLISHED!

Re: RG7421 PICS

LOL. Well, the tuning is settling in now, it's slightly less of a twat, but still a twat nonetheless.

BTW, his name is Vince, named after Noel Fielding's character in The Mighty Boosh, Vince Noir - Noir = black, plus Invincible because I brought it back from the dead!

They are great, I hope you find one. The 7421 is ideal for upgrades. Pickups are not spectacular but plenty of people replace the ones on the 7621 also, so then the only other difference is the bridge. The 7421 bridge is not quite as high quality as the 7621, but it can be bought and fitted without any issues. Apart from this, there are no differences in the guitars.

Yep, it's a UK thing, as is all the best comedy.

Look for it on YouTube. It might take a while to get your head around it!

EDIT: OK, Gurj beat me to it.

I just saw this one on You tube!! IT's funny! I like the barkeeper "You London boys coming up here with your balls all shiny!" hehehehehehe

Vince looks like a cross between Nigel Tuffnel and John Malkovich.
