RG7620 (floyd rose/edge experts NEEDED!)


hi all,

ok here's the deal i got this great RG7620 in great condition off **** last week everything ids perfect but the trem is have ing problems (it's a edge lo-pro 7 BTW). it keeps going out of tune when i do vai's crazy tricks. i tried the chap-stick lubricent idea on the knife-edges it didnt work. i was wondering if a tremsetter would help with this problem.

which section should i read none of it is what i think i need accept angle of trem and i got that perfect already

Did you check the intonation? That's the very first thing you do when you buy a used guitar. Nothing's wrong with the trem system, you just have to go over everything. Even brand new guitars from the factory, sometimes the intonation is off. Check the nut (I presume you know what that is) and see if the two screws on the back of the neck are tighten (they can come loose), and depend on how hangover was the guy that put together the 7620's that morning.

Oh, last thing. After you check all those and everything is OK, and still goes out of tune. That's 7620 for you. I have 3 and only one stay in tune.

After awhile, you just have to say "whada ****".
