RG7620 Production questions

I have an 1998 RG7620 which is still in bits, trying to deceide what color to go for, but that's another story in an other thread somewhere here.
I was wondering what was the first year of the RG7620? Was it 1998? Also were there any differences in the neck sizes between the years? I played a frinds 2000 model last week and it felt thicker than mine, but I haven't played mine in some time since it is still in pieces. Is it just my idea? (Btw my setup certainly was waaay better than his;could this also be it? but it got me thinking anyway...)
Also the pickups: They say Dimarzio made in USA on the bottom. What's the confusion between Blaze/Blaze II/New 7 etc? What were put in 1998?

I have seen that but I think the measurments for the neck are somewhat confusing. It lists 19.0mm at fret-1 and 21.0mm at fret-12 for the "Wizard 7" neck on the 7620, but on the UV specs it says 20.0mm at fret-1 and 21.5mm at fret-12. I always thought old UV's had thinner necks than the 7620.
On the other hand on the Ibanez catalogs of 1998 it lists that both UV and RG7's have the same neck measurments of 20.0mm at fret-1 and 21.5mm at fret-12.
If it is true that older UV necks are thinner, could it be that old UVs are 19mm and newer 7's are 20mm at the first fret?

Sorry to resurrect this thread, however, I was also reading some reviews and many folks have said that the pickups were 'fizzy' or no good, however, my 1998 made RG7620 rocks! It sounds great!

The Ibanez Catelog says that the RG7620 and RG7621 were equipped with DiMarzio Blaze 7's. If this is true, it would be the perfect reason for other RG7620 owners who's axe was made in a year other than 1998 to sound fizzy or crap...

Now the big question, is their New 7's and Dimarzio Blaze the same pup!?

Did all the 7620's come with the lopro edge. I had a black seven string back in the day and I swear it had just the edge on it exactly like older rg550/570's, It was a one piece neck as well so Im guessing late 90's.. I had an older 570 acouple years before I bought the 7 so I remember what the trem was like. Pretty sure it wasn't the lo trs style 7420 too since my buddy had a 470 and I didn't like that trem and made remarks about the difference's between it and the edge. One thing I remember about the difference between the edge and the trs where the allen heads on the 2 pivot points. The edge had large hex size that took up the whole head and the trs had smaller ones. also the part behind these along the sides of the saddles the edge ramped up and got thicker, the trs was flat and thin the whole way.

the new 7s are not blazes. not even close. has been discussed many times. the bridge pickup is not so great, but the neck pickup is actually pretty good.

Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have understood is that the New7s are also called Blazes by Ibanez. The ones found in the UV for instanse are called "Blaze II" pickups by Ibanez...
Dimarzio on the other hand, calls the Ibanez named "Blaze II" pickups as Blazes...
How those two companies have managed to create such a mess out of a simple pickup name is beyond me...

the ibanez catalog was a misprint. all the 7620s had new7s. the uv had blaze2s.believe me, i have 4 7620s. and i have replaced the pickups in all of them. the new7s are not that great in the bridge, but sound good in the neck. i actually liked the 7420 pickup better than the 7620 new7s. it was hotter and more ballsy.
