RG7621 prices

I just did a quick search, and I don't have much time. I just found a RG7621 (LO-TRS) (looks fairly new, but I'm not sure of the year) in "vampire red" for $400. At first I thought this was a really good price ("blue book" says it should be in the $650 range), but it looks as though it's just market average. Am I right? Your thoughts and knowledge will be appreciated.

It's in very good condition (one small chip in the body), the neck is straight, fretboard could use some cleaning, etc.

It seems like a nice guitar, but I'm not very familiar with them. If it was a really good deal, I'd probably go buy it. But otherwise I'll leave it.

Re: RG7621 prices

Shouldn't RG7621 be the Japanese hardtail? LO-TRS would be a 7420?

Re: RG7621 prices

...and "Vampire Kiss" was on the 7620, with the Edge.

If it's a 7620VK and if it's in decent shape, that's a great price. The blue book is off bass, but even still e-bay prices on 7620's have recently gone up a bit - $500 is no longer that uncommon.

7621 (fixed bridge) it's probably a good price as well. For a 7420, 400's towards the upper limit for a player. See if you can talk the seller down a little bit - $350 would be a little more fair, IMO, if it's really in quite good condition.

Beats me. They've got it labeled as a 7621. I'm no where near familiar enough, so I'm asking.

Re: RG7621 prices

I just paid $350 for a good condition 7621 with a UV1000C case. The guitar itself left a little to be desired, cosmetically, but it was in sound shape - just a ton of small cosmetic dings in the finish and the back of the neck. Didn't matter much to me as it's already torn apart, the dings are mostly out of it and she's well on her way to becoming my own version of a signature 7-string guitar.
