RG7CT New/Used Pricing??? - Found One...

What did RG7CT guitars go for new? *I know from the specs here that they listed at $1899.99. *The local GC (guitar crooks) have a used and pretty beat up RG7CT (several deep scratches, dings, chips, etc.) that they have stickered for $1000. *I've been able to talk them down to $850 but can't get them lower.

Also, has anyone seen any of these go used recently and if so, for how much?

I think that's a great price for a CT. The fact it's beaten can only make you feel better about playing it (and paying it).

I'd buy it.

If the scratches are on the back it's a great deal at 850.

If it plays well and you like mahogany guitars with maple tops (and, as I remember, you do), then it's a great deal at $850.

Are you positive it's a CT and not an 8157?

If it aint too deep, you can always sand away and have a natural finish

but still, 850 for an axe that good, id do it

Yeah - it goes without saying that you're buying this as a player and not a collector piece. If the axe sounds good and plays well, then it's worth $850 regardless of what it looks like.

This was a really old post. I bought the guitar mentioned above over four years ago at the GC in St. Louis, MO. The guitar looks a little beat but all the critical parts (neck, frets, trem) are in awesome shape. I don't play it much but find it hard to let go because of its beauty and uniqueness.
