I had one of these about a yr ago. *It was called a JCRG7 then. *I got it for $900 used from Ishibashi. *They renamed it to RG8527 for some reason, but its the same guitar. *Just mine was a different finish. *There are pics of mine in the gallery. *It was a sweet guitar, I wish I still had it. *I just couldn't seem to get used to 7-string sized necks. *

It's more like the RG7CT. The 2027 doesn't have a maple top and does have a Double Edge.

If you made a living off guitars, would you get out much? *:biggrin:

As far as I can tell, the RG8527VV (formerly JCGR7-1VV) is identical to the RG7CTVV except the for the binding on the JC's neck and headstock (plus the difference brandings- J-Custom and Prestige).

Im sure its a great guitar. But what about the pickups. Those pickups aren't exactly the best out there

Bingo.

Also, compare the two pics of the V V guitars side-by-side. *
Prestige <---> J-Custom
Both have the trem arm in the EXACT same position, as is the p/u selector. *
Creepy.

The answer is simple. Rich isn't really a person at all. Rather, he is the worlds first nicotine powered PC, located in the depths of NJ, dedicated to tracking down all collectable Ibanez (especially JS graphics) & answering all Ibanez questions. :lame:

BTW, shouldn't this thread be in the JC area?

That is kind of creepy. Since there don't seem to be too many decent pics of the RG7CTVV on the web, here are some links to some that I took. In one of them you can see the striped ebony headstock quite well, which doesn't usually show up in most pics you see.

Glen and Kevin, you guys should feel free to use these pics if you care to.
