I believe you were thinking of me. I have a (now discontinued) Revenger-7, the cheapest 7-string they made, and it's a great guitar. In need of a set-up, but that's cuz it's used. The pickups sound nice, the wiring could use replacing cuz it's wearing out, but overall the feel and sound is nice. From what I've heard, all hard-tail Schecter 7-strings are nice.

cool ... :)

I wish to find a left handed now ...

I'll buy a custom made 7 after summer ... I don't know yet if it will be a copy of Ibanez or something else ... I've seen some great luthiers sites ... time will tell ... but for now I'd like to find a second 7seven just in case a i break a string ... it happened to me one time and it was like hell on earth ... 12 mn to change a string and keep the guitar tuned ... lol !!! ridiculous ...

I am supposed to provide hell on earth ... not to be a victim of it ...

Thanks for your reply !

Be careful if you buy one. They've changed the design and most of what's being sold righ now is the discontinued model.

I've owned a bunch of Schecter 7 strings: 2 Jazz 7's, a C7+, and a USA Custom Shop Sunset 7. The 3 Korean imports (the Jazz 7's and C7+) fit into the category of terrific guitars for the money. Well made, could use better pickups and a good set up. The Sunset 7, which is a MUCH more expensive instrument, is simply one of the top quality guitars I've ever owned. I'm probably going to sell it soon because I am completely committed to the XL scale length, but it certainly won't be because of anything wrong in the construction of the guitar.

I too have been thinking about buying one of those.

About the danger of buying the old stock, that should be limited to online buying. I think it'll be pretty easy to tell; they've changed the hardware color and pickup configuration... Anyway, I also have a C1+, and it plays great for what I paid too.

Your link is broken but the new ones have chrome hardware and a H/H configuration, where the old ones had black hardware and a H/S configuration. I wish they had kept the hardware black, it looks cooler I think, but i really want to I could change it (could be pricey getting a new 7 string tone pros bridge though...).

Also, the new ones are string through body where the old ones had stop tailpiece. Like I said, if you go into the store, you'll be able to tell which is which.

I've played a Squier Stagemaster-7FR, and it's not bad at all. Decent quality for the price, feels nice, sounds nice, horribly set-up, but that's the guitar shop's fault.

This is getting more and more interresting !

How much was the Squier ?

THanks for the tips about Schecters ... Some says that strings through the body increase sustain ... but the "chrome" bridge is maybe not the best lookin' ... they've stopped the trem' version ???

Can someone explain me how to include links and pictures on the forum ?

Nobody answered about the neck shape ... please ...
LIke a Universe wizard's neck ?

once again THANK YOU !!!!!!

Schecter necks are much chunkier than what I've seen from Ibanez. Both the Korean and USA models have very substantial necks, mosly with U or C shapes.

Yea, I've played a non-bubinga stripe RG-7620, and the Schecter's neck is a bit thicker, and not as flat on the back, but I love the feel of it.

And the Squier's about $350 for the Floyd model, and about $300 for the hardtail (and that's Canadian dollars)
