Schecter Revenger 7 - Opinions please

Hey guys. I have a chance to buy a Schecter Revenger 7 for a pretty good price. I was wondering if some of you guys have any comments for this particular guitar? Thanks in advance.

Yep, I've got one Great quality guitar. Neck's definitely nothing like a Wizard neck, but comfortable once you get used to it. The pickups are reasonably good. I love the knobs on it (you'll know what I mean if/when you get it). My only complaint with it is that it's slightly neck heavy, and could use an arm contour on the body for comforts sake. Not much fun to play sitting down either. Mine could use a re-wiring or a cleaning or something though.

I got mine for $350 or so Canadian, so don't pay too much for it

As an aside, Two Hands...

A POSSIBLE quick and EASY fix for your electronics problem. They are probably just dirty. Head to Radio Shack and get

Radio Shack
Contact/Control Cleaner & Lubricant.

It's about 7 or 8 bucks US, sprays right on the elctronics, and presto! Cleans 'em up. My 2027 had a scratchy/cutting out volume pot, and my 5-way switch was scratchy as hell witching to position 2. Sprayed some of that stuff on 'em, and worked it in, within 5 minutes, good as new!

(Some might try to suggest better contact cleaners. They are out there, and some more expensive, some about the same, but trust me, this is simple, cheap, and does the trick . It'll probably clear up your electronic blues!)[/b]

Yea, I've been told it's probably just dirty, so I'll probably go at it with some of that stuff you recommended some day My main concern, though, is that when switching positions on the pickup switch (3-way toggle) it sometimes just cuts the sound out completely or dulls it down to a very weak signal on certain positions, and if I switch it out and back again (occasionally with a bit of roughness ) it goes back to normal. Is this a dirty switch thing?

I had that problem on my Gibson once. It could be dirty, but could also be wiring that's a bit a bit loose, but with mine it was a faulty switch so I had to get a new.

Yea, my friend had a similar problem with his Epiphone Les Paul (and is having the same problem again after getting it "fixed"). I'll try cleaning it, and if it doesn't do anything, I'll replace/repair it.

*Update* I bought the guitar. First impressions: Pretty comfortable, string through (dont have to be having hard times with floyd's),pickups are kinda muddy, the contour looks kinda weird but you get used to it, it's a little neck heavy and the body is kinda big. Overall a 7.5/10 . I plan to change the pickups becouse these don't give me the clarity I need.

The black one. The knobs are pretty cool. Does anyone know where I can get some EMG 707's for cheap?
