Should I buy this ?

Me again - suffering heavily from GAS lately. Now that I've finally managed to score a black rg7620 (no mean feat over here), I bumped into another interesting item: this. A 7-string, supposedly factory-equipped with EMGs.

To cut a long story short: I am leaving for Japan next week, and a friend of the family (who knows about my knack for nice guitars) wants to get rid of it (lack of space, of course). He bought it second-hand from Ishibashi for some 80000 Yen (about $700).

Problem is, I am getting short of cash lately and can't really afford another guitar, let alone the extra luggage charges to take it back with me

Is this an original guitar ? Would it be worth getting anyway ? What would YOU do ?

I gotta say go for it too,I'm sure even if you borrowed the cash,there would be a few willing buyers in the classifieds ... Just a guess ;-)

That is an RG7 CSD-1.

Designed by the L.A. Custom Shop and built in Japan. The EMGs are indeed factory installed on that model. They only came in flat black.

Correction, it's LACSD [Designed], built in Japan. That's about what they sell for used there so if you're thinking it's a deal, maybe where you're from, but not in Japan

Thanks, Rich ! "Where I am from", that money would just about buy me the pickups (and maybe the case) - this is Europe, where an 7620 still retails (never discontinued here) for about $800...

Anybody wants to borrow me $700 ?
