smudge removal question

Since you don't have any PM box, I try my luck here. I purchased a Ibanez HRG7 in Flat Black last week and there are already some greasy finger prints that won't go away. Wanted to know what product would you propose to get rid of those. Even windex doesn't cut it off

Thanks in advance
JP

Re: To Mr. Tak Hosono, sorry to make a topic for that

This is one of the strangest posts I've ever seen.

first of all, do NOT use Windex on your guitar. There are a multitude of guitar polishes available for getting dirt off your guitar that won't damage the finish.

For finger smudges, use a soft, non-abrasive cloth and rub really hard - this should do the trick.

And you might want to wash your hands before you play

Yeah it's not often I say a thread should be locked/deleted, but to call Tak's attention to this kind of crap will probably see him take less notice of Jemsite.

Asking Tak wasn't the way to go, but asking on a site like this is why we are here. To call Scarve a dumbass is completely out of line IMHO.

He had a good question, he asked the wrong person, thats all.

indeed, so what we know is that jemsite is a great resource for any guitar related question, scarve will I am sure address his questions to the forum before going to the Ibanez "brass"

Scarve (JP) ask us here first mate, almost always, someone here knows the answer

Sorry guys :P It's only that every single person give me cues that vary a LOT... so I asked an official Ibanez guy. Anyway, delete that topic!
