Squier Stagemaster 7

While scouring CL I came across this oddball. From the little bit of research I did, these seem to be a pretty good bang for the buck and can be had for ~$100. Some claim it has a fairly thin neck, comparable to a Jackson from what I read.


The actual one is in a pawn shop within driving distance, but I won't be able to check it out until next week. I was curious if anybody here has gotten their hands on one and what they think. I've been dragging my feet on buying a RG7321, so I'm in a quandary here.

I had one back in the day and loved it, why I sold it is beyond me..

I used to work in a guitar shop that sold them....good guitar for the money and that price of the one your looking at is very good...the main thing is of course with all guitars at that price is trems wearing.....but if the neck is good they set up OK. I would buy it for that price . If your not adapt to doing repairs may be get it set up to get the best out of it.

I'm able to do most repairs, so I'm not worried about that. The particular one I'm looking at is a hardtail. I love guitars with trems, but I want my first 7-string to be a hardtail, for the sake of simplicity.

Between what you guys say and what I've read over at ss.org, I'm super pumped now! Thanks guys!
