Stop tail seven-string guitars.

I want one, around 800 (maybe more) dollars, what do you recommend getting. The C7 Blackjack is obviously an option, but I could get japanse model for this money.

Re: Stop tail seven-string guitars.

Do you specifically want a tune-o-matic/stop tailpiece setup, or will any hardtail do? You could try looking for a used Dean EVO Special 7 (they pop up from time to time on eBay). That's what i play, and it's a pretty decent guitar. And you could buy two of them and still be within your budget.

If you had more money I would get an ESP SC7 without doubt. I aint a huge fan of seven strings, but I would own one of those without dout! Maybe you could look for a LTD SC model - both are raved about!

If not, if you could wait a while - I would go with a Carvin too. They are sound guitars for the not-so-much money!

I would say look into a schecter blackjack or perhaps a schecter damien once they're released, I'm looking into getting a damien myself...

Re: Stop tail seven-string guitars.

I can`t stand EMGs, and I think Stephen Carpenter is a moron, so I don`t want his signature model (with inlayed autograph)
And those ebay-guitars look really cheap.
Schecter Damien huh?

That white Ibanez is a 7621... pretty darn good guitar. You could put a custom exotic wood body on that and it would kick ass.

Re: Stop tail seven-string guitars.

i love how the 2nd auction says " I was surprised at how awesome she plays and sounds since she was one of the cheaper RG models"... i wouldn't categorize a RG7621 as exactly a "cheaper" ibanez lol

since you hate EMG's BlueGrot, my vote would be to go for a Blackjack Schecter then, cause the damien's come with passive emg's stock, the blackjack's come with duncan's.
