right now I have a rg7421xl 27" scale baritone 7-string with ghs 10-60 (10-46 with a 60 for the low b) but i've been pondering switching heavier, perhaps to
ernie ball 11-58 or
dean markley 11-60, but I don't want any of my playing to be sacrificed. Does anybody know if these strings will be much more difficult to play than the others, and if it's a good idea to switch from the string gauge i already am using or not? I mainly play hard/heavy rock/metal, and i mainly use standard BEADGBE tuning, but I will also occassionally tune to BEADF#BE, AEADGBE, ADADGBE, or AEADF#BE thanks.
