Ibanez still has 2027's, they're just not bringing anymore in to the US. *
Contact your local dealer quick if you want one.

That company Ibashie or whatever will have them for years to come. So i wouldn't start having withdrawl symptoms quite yet..
Unless the panic buying forces them to rethink dropping it.

If you're really desperate you can import the 2127X from Japan. *It's new there, so I think it'll be around for a while - basically a 2027X in trans black.
( Check
www.ibanez.co.jp
for shots of that particular guitar )

Holy !#^!@#! The 2127X is definitely badass! I think that's the next guitar I'd like to get hold of next. Maybe I need to ask my japanese friend to buy it for me next time he goes to Japan.
I prefer the deep black transparency job on it over the vintage violin color. What's the "1" for by the way? Just an update or an upgrade to the 2027X series or something else?

Is it just me or are the headstocks from the Prestige/Baritones, Korn and UV's different?

Umm...the Ibanez 2001 catalogue (I think it's the European one, because it's in English, the Swedish (ya I live in Sweden) ones used to be in Swedish...) still has the 2027X...what gives, anyone?

The 2027 has been discontinued
As far as I've figured it out, Ibanez put the 2027 in the 2001 catalogue, but discontinued the model during NAMM when the XLs and Korns were announced. *So you still find it in the print catalog, though it's not on the website (and not being made anymore).

Actually it is discontinued. Other countries are probably selling left-over inventory still in distribution... glen

Plenty of downsides to livin' in the EU...prices...and the fact that we don't see heaven-sent guitars carried down on angels wings like Greg's RGPR1
(yes it's clear I want one)
Steve
P.S. But at least we get the good beer

I would NOT doubt they are still being made for whatever distributor wants to sell them. The US does not.

If you make some inquiries about sales totals, it is no stretch to believe many are warehoused. Sales were abysmal. Either way,
get yours now
if you are interested... glen
