The K7..... Now....

So, since Head left the band now, are Ibanez still going to produce the K7? One thing I say is, THEY BETTER! I hope they do, Munky is still there (Thank god).. so anyone know anything about that?

There are plenty crop up on "THAT" site so i can only assume that some do buy them

I think they are fantastic guitars personally, Just as many find, the K7 logo is a bit err, off putting, But i have my eyes on a couple

I have K7, and I love it, except for the PAF7 which is just horrible...

To answer a few questions at once , Yes , they'll probably stay in production , yes , people buy them , I have one , and it's not really Munky's guitar , he hardly ever plays them . He prefers his customs . Now , in my opinion , it's the best sounding Ibanez 7 available currently . Remember that's only MY opinion. Fleshstue , why don't you like the PAF7s' ? Just curious .

Horrible? I consider the PAF7 to be without doubt the best 7 string neck pickup I've ever tried.

Re: The K7..... Now....

I personally prefered the K7 customised with 2 Blaze Bridges.

I feel the Tone Zone 7 would suite the K7 considerably better these days, than the PAF-7, but it seems ibanez likes to put PAF's into all it's high end gear as stock...

Re: The K7..... Now....

I love the way people always go "has anyone ever bought one?". What a stupid bloody question to ask. They have been in production for years now, so of course Ibanez sell them. They wouldnt sell them otherwise. They aint just selling them for the sake of it. For anyone that wants an awesome 7 string, that isnt a Universe, its perfect. I would rather have a K7 than any Universe any day of the week. But thats just personal preferance. The K7 suits me better. And........dare I say it........I dont mind the inlay either!

Yeah, but you play jazz, not metal.

I still wouldn't call it horrible, though. I personally think they sound great (like most Dimarzio 7-string pups).

I usually add that in there too . I bought it because I thought it sounded great , and I'm a Korn fan . An inlay wouldn't keep ME from playing a cool guitar .

Well I know he barely ever plays it on stage, but still his and Heads signature. Well I think now people will say its just his since Head left, but I hope they keep it going. I love those guitars, and I love korn.

Re: The K7..... Now....

Yep . The most I've ever seen Munky actually with a K7 in hand is the Ibanez ads and catalogs . He did break out a BG the last time I saw 'em live , though . Kinda cool to see both colors on stage at once , since it's rare ! But it was obviously his backup , or should I say "when all else fails" guitar .

In the neck they are fine....but in the bridge I cant stand them, they get you the last two cd KoRn sound....but other then that I just dont like them..sterile, compressed and sluggish..

And I find the idea of an low output, ceramic bar PAF just redicilous..
