Uv777gr

I'm interested and currently looking at buying a UV777GR. What does anyone who ownes one of these guitars think about it in comparision to other Universe guitars? Does the maple frett board change the sound or effect the overall feel of the guitar at all? Thanks for any comments at all.

Re: Uv777gr

The maple fretboard tends to do like any other maple board and brighten it up a bit.. its still rather similar, though. every other aspect of it is the same, construction wise and electronicswise... they're very nice. i still regret selling mine.

Yeah, Ken, you had a nice one. I saw one before with a UV77MC neck on it, I thought it looked pretty cool but I still think it looks better with the maple fretboard. They're nice.

Re: Uv777gr

I love my GR. I got it by chance and when I had it, I had a hard time deciding between a 91 GR or a 01 UV777BK. Both guitars have their differences but I ended up with the GR. There's something about maple necks. I have it customed and replaced the pickups to an Evo7 bridge and Blaze on the neck in green/black. The yellow/green combo doesn't work for me but I still have the yellow knobs and pink switch!

Re: Uv777gr

The UV777GR is a sweet one because of the maple fretboard.

I remember that one Shawn.
I thought it was beautiful, especially for a non-maple fan like myself.

Re: Uv777gr

Well, I thought so too, but I like the maple fretboard better. Of course I'd take a PWH or UV777BK neck over it but not for the UV777GR, the maple neck fits it well.
