UVMC VS UV777

I've gotten an offer on both of these,
to the same price.

Which on rules?

They're equal in quality, just pick the one you like the look or (if you can play them) feel of better.

On the other hand, UV777BKs are a dime a dozen, so if it's an ATD swirl, or at least a nice MKR (yes they exist), go for the UV MC

Definately get pics... if it's an amazing swirl, then maybe the MC is the one to go for... depends on the asking price, of course.

Differences between the two, cosmetics aside:

-pickups: there's been some speculation that the PU's in the newer bk777's aren';t "real" blaze's. I have no idea if this is true, but they've apparently got the brass plates and black polepeices of cheaper dimarzios, so...

-neck joint: All-Access vs. Conventional. if you'venever played an all-access, you'll never miss it, but it's supposed to be a little awkward to get used to if you've never played an old-school ibanez neck.

-neck profile- there was a subtle tweak to the profile done with the introduction of the 777bk. I guess it's a little thinner now. Like the neck joint, this is very much personal preference...

Get the MC.... I much prefer the old UV's to the new ones (they feel soo much nicer, and sound a bit different too).

i like the uv777bk becuase of the neck but play both

Also, the BK will have bigger frets than the MC. I own both. To me the tone is brighter on the BK.
