What pickups do you have in your 7-string?
Well, the subject title says it all. What pickups do you have and why do you like them (or not?) Anyone and everyone can answer. I'm looking for everyone's opinion here.

I just use the stock "Diamond Series" pickups that came with my
Schecter Revenger
-7. They sound great, so no need to swap them. And damn if they ain't versatile.

I have
Dimarzio Blaze
in both positions on my RG 7620, to be honested i noticed little differance from the upgrade from the stockers.
I got a good deal though, so i probably will sell the bridge later on for something better.

Tone Zone
7 in the bridge, Blaze in the neck. I like being able to get pretty close to that Passion & Warfare neck tone, and the TZ seems to sound distinctly different all over the neck, without changing anything at the amp.

I'm a
Seymour Duncan
fan.
My
Dean Evo Special
7 has a 59N-7 in the neck and a JB-7 in the bridge. Both are just amazing-sounding, though i do find myself using the 59 a bit more. It has depth, heaviness, punch and clarity.
Both pickups are hooked up to push-pull pots which switch them from series to parallel mode. The JB in parallel has a hint of Tele twang, and the 59 in parallel has a bit of Stratty glassiness to it. The range of tones i can get from this setup is nothing short of remarkable.

In my Universe the Blaze stock PU's. In my 7620 are the "NEW-7"s but I won a V7-7 and V8-7 (Ibanez) from eBay and will be putting those in it. Probably never heard of anyone replacing DiMarzio's with Ibanez, huh? I had a 7421 and I liked them in it, call me crazy.

Got EMG 707 in my Ibanez AX 7221 and my RG 7421xl, and I'm really happy with those. Got Seymour Duncan 59 7 in the neck and JB 7 in the brigde of my
Brian Moore
i9.7. And finally a Lundgren Model M in my
Epiphone Les Paul
7, this is prolly my fav pick up...just love the heavy sound I get out of it when I play it loud!!
