Re: what strings do you have on your 7?

i use the ernie ball super slinky 7's. i know alot of guys use weird strings for their 7's, but i use super slinky on everything...6 and 7. with as many guitars as i have, i can't keep an inventory/catalog of strings. so my sets are interchangable with the only difference being a 52.

As I just said in another thread, "I only use DR Tite-Fit LTZ-9 sets on my 7 strings. Nothing else, ever." I don't use 60's or 70's for the low B, as I have a fairly uniform lite touch and don't find it necessary.

Custom set of GHS singles. Plain .0095 and .013, wound .018, .024, .034, .048 and finally a D'Addario .064 on the bottom. Works wonders, even tension...

GHS Low Tune Boomers: 011 015 019 033 043 053 and an extra 065 (Tuning: A#D#G#C#f#a#d#)

I think about switching back to 060 für the low B string since the 065 is bit muddy sometimes and I'd like to have more attack.

D'addario EXL 110 on my UV, EXL 120 on my RG7

I like the EXL 110 much better.

EXL120-7's for me. Not the most amazing string ever, but the most consistant Ive seen and heard from string change to string change.

i use GHS Boomers 9-58 set. i like the 58 on the bottom, a 52 was too floppy for me when i used ernie balls.

Re: what strings do you have on your 7?

had magma (argentinian made) 11-60, but had to switch to 10's... but the low A was 60 .... nowadays 9 -54, because we are playing standar tuning again...
