Depending on how custom you want it, www.warmoth.com has some available.

Thanks, but warmoth isn't "custom" enough for what I am thinking I have used their necks before and it is good stuff, but not what I am looking for in terms of this next project...But thanks again...

Can you be more specific as far as custom? That way we all know exactly what you are looking for and we can be of more help ;-)

Hey Jim,
Do you think you could give me some price quotes on those 7-string necks you mentioned? I'll be building a custom body in a few months, and i'm trying to find a good deal on a neck. Are you custom making them? If you are, i'll let you know what i'm after, and you can give me an estimate.
Mail me at : Mecki213@cs.com
Thanks!
Ben

I can't speak for anybody else but I would sure like a custom RG 7 string neck with a reverse headstock.

Here's the deal. I'm having these necks made for me to my design and specifications. They're the same dimensions as the XL neck from the 7421XL, so they're for a 27 inch scale instrument. The head is a tilt back 4+3 configuration, so it's much smaller and lighter than the Ibanez peg head. It's a one piece maple neck with an Ebony fingerboard and dual graphite support rods. I don't know the retail price yet, but I'll have more details soon. There will also be a similar 6 string neck a little later.

The width at the nut will be aproximately 1.9 inches.

I haven't decided for sure yet whether it will be 22 frets or 24, but assuming it's 24, it would be 2.56 inches. If we go with 22 frets it would be proportionately narrower.

This is for a guitar that I hope to have in limited production by July. the first model will be a 7 string with a 27 inch scale and custom stereo pickups from TV Jones with seperate controls for the bass and treble strings. A mono model with standard pickups would come out soon afterwards. After that will come a pair of baritones. Like the 7 strings the scale length will be 27 inches with a mono and stereo version. All of the components are in the works now and I'll also be selling the bridges, tuners and the stereo pickups seperately.
