Which 7-string?

Hi everybody! I got to know this site by Roland (a friend of me). And I am looking for an Ibanez 7-string guitar. Now i am doubting between an RG7321 or an RG7420 (I'll find an amplifier on my own). What are the mayor differences between those two and how about the prices ±??

Welcome to the Forum!

You can view the differences in most of the Ibanez 7-string models here:
http://www.jemsite.com/axes/htm_features/spec_ib7.htm

Basically, the RG7321 is a Korean-made fixed bridge guitar. The RG7420 is a Japanese-made guitar with the LoTRS7 tremolo. Ideally, you should be able to find a used RG7620 for a decent price. They're killer guitars and are top-notch in terms of quality and materials. LoPro7 trem, DiMarzio pickups, etc. The seem to be going for well under $500US used (some as low as $300-350 if you don't mind some finish wear).

Speaking from personal experience I would try to find a 7620 if you’re looking for something with a locking trem. I went with a 7420, for the sake of the dollar...and not knowing any better, and now I’m try to find a way to swing an edge 7 into the beast. The lower quality bridge was the only real downfall on the 7420.
