Which Apex and whick pickups

Iīm looking forward to get one of those apex guitars which is mahogany.I donīt know which one yet.
I only had trem guitars no string through.Whatīs your opinion about that.Is a string through in some way better sounding?
I donīt want to use it for playing Korn.
Faster and another tuning.Maybe C or B.But same string gauge (0.60 - 0.10).
What pickup is best for that?
