Which RG is this?
I am buying an RG and I dont know if it is 7-621 or 7-421. Its serial number is F98 49310 and that suggests that it is 7-621 but the neck is made of 1 piece maple and the jemsite specs sheet says that rg 7-621 has 3-piece
maple neck
.
Are there any other features that might reveal the right model?

What are the pickups?
That's a Japanese serial #, so chances are it's either an RG7621 or an RG7421.

Yeah, I know itīs a Jap and either 7-621 or 7-421 but I donīt want to pay the asked price if the guitar is 7-421.

isnt it a 7621? pure black finish as opposed to "dirty" black on the 7421
might be wrong though

Both the 7421 & 7621 came in "black". As far as I know, black is black regardless of the model

Looks like a 7621 since the pickups have no markings on them. Most of the ones that I've seen have had the model number on the back of the headstock as well, so you might check that if you have hands-on access to the guitar. If all else fails, either take a look at the back of one of the pickups, or have the seller do so and take a picture for you.

Based on the polepieces of those pickups alone, it looks like it's a 7621.

99 and before the 762X had 1 peices, it was made in 98, no such thing as a 742x in 98, 762x's came in black, 742x's came in galaxy black. 2000 was when the 3 peice came out.

yOU CAN TELL it's a 7621 by the pickup ear routes, the DiMarzio loaded 7621 has triangular shaped routes and the 7421 are more square to fit the Ibanez square pickup ears.

Thank you all for your answers! It seems that it really is 7-621.
