Who does bad-a$$ custom 7's for decent money???

Hey guys,
After getting and playing my new (really used) ESP M-107 loaded with EMG 707's, I've been debating on having a custom built, to the way IIIIIII want it. ESP wants WAY too much money, and I'm still unsure about the Carvin's. I REFUSE to play a JACKSON (E-YUCK!), but would consider seeing/finding out who else would do it. Any feedback on this would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm goin nuts over here! Thanx again, Josh of Overfiend.

I guess it depends on your definition of decent money, bad ass customs cost, if you really want a one off custom guitar it's probably going to cost you more than any factory 7 string, but then it will be built to your spec's and be exactly what you want. Customs are cool, and the truth is, a one off custom isn't really any more expensive than what some of the "high end" guitars are costing anyway, especially when you start talking PRS and the like.

From what I've seen, Carvin's are pretty cheap compared to other brands and they offer about as good as custom options on they're guitars. You should check out the models in depth on their website.

The only problem with Carvin is you're stuck with their pickups and electronics. And because their pickups aren't standard sizes, so if you want to swap them out, you're looking at routing.

I vote LGM/EKG. Hopefully I can get enough money to have something done by them by the end of the summer.
