Re: why is the 7 string part of the forum dead?
I'm about to get a seven string, UV7BK, should be on the way to me.
The only thing I can say about 7 strings is I only like a couple, I'm not really a 7 string fan, but the 7 I've bought I love.
Sounds odd, but the thing I'm looking forward to more than anything is taking it apart.

A lot of the 7 string players went to that .org site when it started up, and never came back. Considering many of the original members of that site came from here....

Yeah, toshiro is right. Most 7 players, myself somewhat included, have been going to that .org site. Though, soon you might see a large amount of them starting to return to jemsite; since the admin of that .org site is being an a$$.

You might want to start a new thread because your question has little to do as to why the 7 string section of this forum is less active.
Also, you might want to do a search a this site and ss.org. There are a lot of threads about it. Youtube is full of them also.
Good luck mate.

And a lot of those guys have moved on to metalguitarist now
I have a 7620 project sitting around that I should get to and maybe post some pics, but that would force me to actually work on it
Let me see if I can find all the parts and maybe I'll start up a thread on that.

Andy Martin has written a great book on 7 strings
I'm sure you can get it on Amazon or someplace similar.
