Wizard 7 w/Bubinga & without comparison, RG7620?

This topic I'm sure has been discussed, but I can't seem to find the thread on it.
Does anyone know if the profile, thickness or feel of the pre-2000 Wizard 7 necks on the RG7620 are different than the Wizard 7 necks with the Bubinga stripe?

The Wizard 7 neck spec appears consistent regardless of the year or whether it has a bubinga stripe or not. You can reference the specs on this page http://jemsite.com/axes/htm_features/spec_ib7.htm#rg

I got a RG7621 (without the stripe) and have played a RG7420 (with the stripe) and if there is any difference, I certainly couldn't feel it.

On another note, the RG421 you sold me is with LGM Guitars at the moment getting an amazing transformation done. Can't wait until Jeremy is done with it.

thanks for the info on the necks. I've yet to play a bubinga striped one.

my left hand tells me that the neck without the bubinga stripe wasnt as flat and "squarry" as the one with. The '98 7620 I played was more comfortable than any other '00 or '01 I had my hands on. Those too flat, too thin necks hurt my hands, its like playing on a ruler
can be wrong, maybe they were always the same, but I didnt dream the difference in feel

See now, I believe there is a difference. I had a 2000 RG 7421 - that's with a stripe - and a 1999 RG 7620 (without). The 7620 felt like my Universe (2000 model) - thick. But the 7421 was amazingly thin for a 7. I never should've sold that 7421. Hear that kids? Don't sell your guitars!
