Woo Hoo! It's here! The Red LACS Dino...(Now with pictures)
My LACS Dino Cazeras 7 string showed up today! I don't believe I have ever been happier with a guitar in my life.
It sounds so much better than my regular RG 7's. So much smoother sounding. Thanks Ron (sevenstringer)!
Well, times a wasting. Off to play it some more.
Here you go nuno and whoever else wants to see it. Some pix of the
red
Dino

Dino's autograph
I'm not a very good photographer but this should do.

Congrats on the new-to-you axe!
Do you think the smooth sound is due to the EMGs?
That has EMGs, right?
Rock on,

Yeah, It's got the 707 in the bridge. I have the 707's in 2 of my other 7 strings but the one in the Dino sounds so much better. It's almost like it has more output. Also I'm sure whatever the body wood is makes a huge difference. Whatever it is, I cant stop playing it. My fingers have never been so sore. It's great!

EMG PICKUP
Actually you may not have a 707. The store I work at is an EMG dealer, and I talk to Marcus there at EMG quite a bit. Dino actually had several versions of the 707 made by EMG with varying outputs, and preamps in the pickups. You may have one of the prototypes that were made for him. There are about 4 or 5 of his guitars that have 707's that are customized from what a production 707 is...
That might be of interest to ya' , so I thought I'd spit that out there...lol

:-)
For a pic of Dino playing this guitar, you can see it in the photo gallery part of the Digital Connectivity DVD... At least I THINK it's this guitar. The one in the video looks considerably more orange-y. Kinda bright...

WOW! AMAZING!
looks like you use the foam on the headstock as Dino does. or you didn't replace the strings yet?
btw, can you tell me this:
is there any foam on the springs cavity too?

Thanks nuno!
Actually, I haven't changed the strings yet. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to that. But, when I do I'm going to leave the foam. I also put foam on the headstocks of my other 7 strings before I got this one. (I did get the idea from Dino) Trying to get rid of as much of the excess vibration as possible. There was no foam in the
spring cavity
but I put a peice in just like I do with my other 7 strings and my Jem.

Hey BucketBot,
Congrats on that awesome axe!! It looks like I'll be the third person to have one of Dino's axes. I acquired it from Rich Harris. Here are the details:
Basswood body
(painted black)
Bolt on neck with Fear Factory Logo at 12th fret
Single EMG 707
Floyd Rose
(blocked)
Battered UV1000 case
I left the autograph on the body. I'll try and get pics posted. Do you guys know if he's getting rid of all his instrument now that FearFactory disbanded?? I'd love to get a hold of his white one with the Brujeria label.

I think he's just getting rid of the ones with Fear Factory logos, or just some of his old ones, cuz I heard he just got a bunch of new ones a while ago

Oh man. That's the one I originally wanted. But, I have since fallen deeply in love with the
red
one. My girlfriend now sleeps on the couch because there just isn't enough room for the three of us.
Just kidding.
Congrats to you. They are amazing guitars.
