470 Jem Conversion
In another thread someone wanted to see some pics of this recent refinish, so here it is.
This is a 470 model. The 470's didn't have a recessed route for the cavity plates, so I put that in. I also plugged up the original jack hole and put in two angled jack holes. One is for the regular output and the other is for a piezo pickup output if someone ever wanted to install a piezo pickup system. You can see that in one of the pics below.
I also chamfered the back-side edge of the lower horn. This is a feature on the
Rusty Cooley signature
guitar that I thought was a good idea. I also routed out the trem cavity to accomodate the
pro edge trem
.
The base coat is DSY with different fluorescent colors swirled in.
Enjoy!

No more comments on this one? Would anyone like this fabulous piece of artwork? I'm still working on the
clear coat
at the moment. I've got to wait for the humidity to calm down a bit. Once I'm done this thing is going up for sale.

It looks nice but in the pics it looks kind of orangy then DY, so what color is it really? and how much are you expecting to get for it?

Yea, I didn't color correct them so it looks like all different kinds of colors. I'll take some tomorrow in the daylight.
How much to get for it....I don't know. Probably not much. Ideally I'd like to get at least what I paid for it plus alittle bit for my time, materials and work, but I guess the market will determine that for me. I didn't do it for the money. I just enjoy making them look nice again and doing some mods here and there.

Your patterns have a very cool organic look to them...and I normally don't go for swirls. Nice.

Re: 470 Jem Conversion
Actually, I meant to put this put for sale last night, but got busy working on my website and time kinda slipped away from me. PM me if you'd like to make me an offer on this body. I can't do a trade, but I could swirl your guitar if you like. I don't think the mods will like us talking business in the thread though, so just shoot me a PM when you get a chance.
