5 very quick questions: Shimming

Hi all, please help me with the following

1. Suppose I have a guitar perfectly set up tuned to Standard with 10-46 (shimmed). Say I wanted to tune a full step down with 11-52s. Would I have to reshim the neck?

2. Do planet waves locking tuners fit directly into the ibanez headstock?

3. does anybody sell a backplate for easy access to the tremol-no?

4. what is the difference between tremol-no pin and clamp?

5. Rich Harris offers a "J-Custom" style service on the frets. I am unsure about what he means. Anyone care to explain? I don't want to irritate Rich before I order my guitar (plenty of time after).

If you are buying from Rich you'll find he is a very patient down to earth kind of guy who will answer even the dumbest of questions, so I don't think you'll irritate him!

To answer one of your questions you don't have to reshim the neck when tuning down a half step!
