5 Way Switch Help

If this was a standard strat style, I would understand and know how to wire it. but I have never seen a 5 way like this and am hoping someone can give me some ideas/help on how to wire this thing:

The pins read in order as follows (in the photo) starting left to right on the top row:

6 2 3 7 - top row of pins
4 1 5 - bottom row of pins

I do not know what guitar this came out of. I was going to put in a strat style but I liked the look of this one and it fits the cavity like a glove.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: 5 Way Switch Help

I have no idea, but if you want to figure it out, just use a multimeter to map out the switch. My suggestion is to just get a better constructed CRL switch. It'll be a better switch in the long run.

Re: 5 Way Switch Help

The Official Fender Brand 5 way I bought didn't want to fit and I was not going to force it. This was the only one out of my pile that fit with no issues. Are the 5 ways on jems different in size?

Re: 5 Way Switch Help

It looks like a variation on an Import YM-50 type switch. Usually the CRL switch(the original Fender type) will fit, except the screws are bigger. I had this problem once, but then I realized that the difference was negligible and the screws will tap a hole wide enough when you screw 'em in. I've swapped out the switches on my J-Customs and my Universe out and had the CRL switch installed simply because I like it better. (that and I can mod how smooth the switch can be on the CRL's).
