9s to 10s string gauge0

yesterday i went to the guitar store and got myself a set of zakk wylde boomers 10s-60s
previously i was using daddario 9s...
the problem is... i cant get the guitar to standard tune
i have 4 tremelo springs and still the bridge angle is too god damn high
how can i get my guitar to tune up with 10-60s with the trem angle set up properly
do i have to adjust anythin or do i have to get another spring?

help much appreciated
thx

Dont sweat it this is an easy fix....you need to tighten down the screws in the tremolo cavity that are attached to the spring claw. Just it a half a turn into the body on each screw keeping the claw relatively level on bass/treble side . Retune to pitch ...it may take a few tries to get the bridge level once its tuned to pitch ...j

check out the tech pages on www.ibanezrules.com for more details.

Good Luck

you have to take the springs and take them off the hooks and turn them a bit to make them tighter, get some shorter springs, or IMO don't use those heavy ass strings on a freakin floyd! lol.

Re: 9s to 10s string gauge0

If you want to jump to 10's, maybe you should try the more standard 10's (like gauge 10-46) rather than 10-60. I have D'Addario 10-46's on all my guitars, 2 of them with Lo-Pro Edges, and have not had any problems. My Jem and RGT are running with 3 stock springs.
