Question

A few questions about my S520EX

Hello.

This is my first post here, this seems to be a great site.

Alright, down to business... I recently restrung my S520EX and would like to fix a problem that's been bugging me for a while. The action of my guitar's higher frets are higher than I would like them to be, but the action at the lower frets is alright, although I have a little buzzing at the 1st to 3rd frets. I have my bridge set up at the correct angle, and I have lowered the bridge in hopes to fix the hightened action at the higher frets, but that hasn't done much.

Would I be able to correct this problem by adjusting the truss rod?

And if so, I have another problem... Two of the screws that are used to keep the truss rod cover on will not come out. They turn, but will not come out so I think they are stripped. How should I go about fixing that problem?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the book-like post.

Needle nose plyers for the screws. As for the neck, the truss rod needs adjustment as well as the neck.

Thanks for the reply.

What about the neck needs to be adjusted apart from the truss rod?

If you getting buzzing on the first 2-3 frets when you lower the action at the bridge, you will probably also need to shim the nut to raise it slightly. I think I wil need to on my S520EX.
