A little help please.

Ok so I've decided i'm gonna swirl the gio. (dodgy it might be to swirl i know) However, I need a little help knowing what i need to start off, I know we sell borax in the uk but it's a cleaning detergant which is in powder form. Is this what i need or can i use some sort of sub? also what type of paint other than water colours can i use too. much help on that one lads and ladies. many thanks.

OK so i've shopped everywhere and i mean everywhere, boots, asda, hardware shops etc etc for borax and noone seems to know where to go and pass the buck onto the next shop. any ideas on where or what i can use as a sub for borax? my gio is looking very bare and lonely at the mo. lol
