A new output jack - Will any jack do?

I was planning on buying the intonation tool from stewmac anyway so I'm wondering whether the part in the link will fit on a Universe?

I loose sound from time to time and I found that the wires are ok so I need to replace the jack.

I placed the order.
It's a part that doesn't break the bank so if it doesn't fit it's nothing more than a little annoyance.

It will work but I'm wondering why you went with a stereo jack? You might have to bridge a piece of wire between the extra contact's on the end for a secure signal.

I went with the stereo jack because I couldn't find a mono version.
