A New Toy!

Alright! So i just made a purchase on a new guitar.

I was hoping you guys could help me out with tips on how to take good care of my guitar, and how to set it up on how I like.
Ive always played guitars such as SGs or Schecter C1s where there was just a bridge there and changing strings was very easy and everything, and I could just set my action low and how i like it. But I hate to say something embarrasing here, but I've never really had any experience with a guitar with a bridge or whammy bar type thing going on like this one. Or if i even know how to restring!!! Was hoping maybe you guys could help me out? Although im sure its pretty self explanatory when i recieve the actual guitar![First thing im having done is a buddy of mine is switching the pickups to the emgs i prefer for me] But also, any good tools to keep good care of my guitar? I hate to see scratches and dings and things. I always use the Dunlop guitar care kit with the polish, lemon oil, fretfast.

Go to the Ibanez Rules banner above and go read all the tech tips Rich offers. He's the Ibanez setup guru here and offers a ton of useful information not to mention his occasional appearance to answer questions.

I'd have to see a close up pic..... besides there are many others on here who will eventually chime in and possibly answer your question. They may even own the same model which will be of way more help than myself.

I used to have one of those. Great guitar. Comfortable, light, attractive and very versatile.

Congrats!

ACTIVE EMGs?

That looks like an S so I wonder if a batter cavity can actually fit.

A nine volt battery can fit in the electronics cavity ok in an S series guitar, there's no need to install a battery cavity.
