a simple way to make my guitar look cool?

i've given up trying to get rid og my Lag guitar,
so i'm gonna have some fun.
the body i glossy black, which is worn down here and there
(not a pretty sight).

got some suggestions on what i can do to the body to make it look cool?
something simple. thought about sanding it a bit, to get rid og that horrible gloss....

EVH-ize it!

jokes apart, it depends on what looks cool for you: it could be either a natural/oil look, or a blinding neon finish, or a classic cherry sunburst...

up to you.

A textured finish isn't hard to do, BUT, getting it to stay and not peel IS very difficult, I've done 10 re-fins with a textured finish and have just about got it perfected (he says) e-mail a few people, LGM for instance to see what they suggest and go for it, but remember to post pics :-)

I've actually done this: DRILL your guitar through (just on the wooden parts do not drill electronics!!) it makes a fine effect, unique, and doesn't affect sustain that much !!!

You can put rubber bands coming out of the holes and make a ZZ top guitar!!

List of suggestions:

1) Freeze it in ice.
2) Let The Fonz wear it.
3) Let a hot chick wear it.
4) Buy it a leather jacket, have it start smoking marlboros.

not that much. well, it looks pretty plain, no grain, no pores, pretty much a flat light-color wood. but if stained with oil it could get some "life" out. try it, and if you won't like it, you can always re-paint it.
