A string buzzing on my 7VWH

Hi !

I wasn't posting for a year or so .... I even lost my password, so I had to register again.

I have problem with my 7VWH. Everything is perfect, action is as low as I like, guitar is setup perfectly (for me at least). But since a few months (guitar is 1,3 years old, thanks again Rich ) I have a problem with A-string buzzing.

It's only this string. It buzzes a bit when I hit it open and when it's fretted on 1,2,3,4 and 5 fret.. on 6 buzz is almost gone, completely disappearing on 7. Buzz is rather noticeable when I play clean amp and switch is in B-M or N-M position.

I have very low action on this guitar but this is not a problem, I tried to setup it higher, but buzz was still there.
I checked saddle and it looks ok, I even shimmed nut a bit on the low E side, but it didn't help at all..

Any ideas ? High fret ? I didn't check it yet, but it would be weird, only A is buzzing, nothing else.

I am too scared to give it to local luthier (last time I went there I ran a test - I asked him to rise tremolo a bit, he tried to do it without unlocking these little screws inside, so imagine...). I'd send it to Rich for setup, but I just can't play my strat anymore ...

OK, scratching my head, but first thing I'd try is backing off the truss rod a bit.

Thanks Rich, I'll try it, it's one of the few things I didn't try.
