AANJ neck on square pocket body

First a little history. I took my new rg470 totally apart to paint the body. I left my body covered in paint stripper one night in a garbage bag in the garage never to be seen again. I imagine thrown out. So I am left to find a LEFTY rg470 body. I found one on **** http://cgi.****.com/ws/****ISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
but it has a square neck pocket and I have an AANJ neck. This auction ends in 1 day and looks lIke it won't top $20. Is there any way I can force this to work? thanks alot

Im gonna have to say no.. You might be able to do it, but I think the bodies are too different for it. For example, a non aanj body has a dip in the wood behind the pocket for better access, as compared to the aanj that doesnt need it. If you recut the pocket for your neck, I think there might not be enough support for the neck. That's just my guess, I could be wrong though.

You should try waiting for a aanj lefty body to pop up. They do show themselves more often then one would think.

theres a guy chris beer......thats can make you a ibanez body left handed with the aanj neck joint.......for like 105 dollars basswood....
i got one of his bodys now its a unfinished one.....it looks pretty nice....although its routed for a floyd rose..... i got it off **** for 40 bucks...because its a second and not finished... if your interested..email me and ill send you the auction so you can contact him

It's a bit of work turning the old neck joint into a AANJ.

Actually, now I think about it, I have a lefty body in my shed, I am turning it into a jem.
