Anyone know if the About Time Designs Compnay (Original Swirl) is still going?

Yeah they are still going but I don't think Darren is taking any new orders at the moment or will for the next few months.

Yeah, I heard that. Just that his Website no longer exists and his phone disconnected.

He already has my guitar and Im trying to get it back. Been an ongoing thing for nearly 2.5 years. He's had the money and everything from the start - but as Im so far away I cant do Jack about it apart from hope he is decent enough to come through for me!! Had lots of chasing calls (once a week) over this time but nothin but excuses about him being busy etc. I now honestly believe I have lost my Jem and paid him $500 for the Priviledge!

I know Darren, not as well as some on here, But i am sure as much as i am sure i'll breath he'll come through bro, I know sometimes when i get impatient i think how i have had stuff late, and those people have illness etc. Darren is one of the good guys, you'll get your body/jem back

I know what you're saying matey, and really hope your right. But two and half years later isnt really being impatient. I think Darren is a good guy too but I cant help but feel I aint gonna see it again either. I really hope you're right Rob

I'd love to say trust me, But i have a good feeling about Darren, I know it seems a long time, BUT, we all know how busy people get, with illness's slowing down the production even further, I guess he's trying to get as much backlog out as possible. Hopefully he may drop you an e-mail, let you know whats happening

2.5 years, wow I waited almost as long for him finish the body I needed for my UV that LGM is doing. My body got shipped to Canada around November last year. I heard he has started a handyman business now and is only in his shop in the evening. I have two different e-mail addresses of him, one of them is the usual one the other is the one he used to send me the pics of the swirled body. If you want it PM me. Hope you get your jem back.

I was planning on having a custom jem or rg body made, now im not sure what to do. I dont have the skills or equipment necessary to make one myself. Does anyone know where else i can get a jem/rg body made or when About Time designs will be up and runnung again?

I'm not too sure, I know the guy Darren (About Time Designs) was using was going through a legality issue with Ibanez about producing them.

Darren never had any legality issues, he wasn't making those bodies. The builder that was received a cease and desist order.

I Stress again, the guy Darren used to build the bodies had the issues with Ibanez not him personally!

Rich, you know Darren well IIRC? shed any light, i know ilness affected him awhile back, but how is he coping now? any ideas? i can see this thread getting messy very quickly
