Acoustic pickup in a solidbody neck pup spot

As some of you may know, for quite some time now (not as long as it took Tommy to get his custom neck though) I've been fumbling with an old Radius 540HH.
I thought about the pickups to put in it and would like a piezo system. *In my vast creativity, I brainstormed the idea of putting a usually-sound-hole-mounted acoustic pickup into the neck position on the guitar (and a regular pup in the bridge). *Probably would mount it on top of the pup cavity, or route a space so it's flush to the body. *I'll probably just tung the body then. *Im not a guitar luthier though, and am not aware of any intracasies I might run into, since I haven't field tested the idea in a local store.
Anyone got any thoughts? *possible problems?

Sounds like a worth wild plan. Or you could try to use a mini mic.
