action.. please help


hey, my action was perfectly fine not too long ago.. I had my RG520 locked up in its case and stored away for a while.. I took it out yesterday to play and mannnn the action is terrible! I can like drop my pick through the space between the fretboard and strings with no problem at all.. how do I get my action back? I didnt touch it for a while so I didnt **** with anything.. please help!

...neck front-bow? did it stay in bad climatic conditions?

it was stored inside a case in my basement, im not sure if the temperatute changed alot.. btw. how much does neck bow effect the action? I believe that you are supposed to have a bit of relief right?

...if the bow is very pronunced you can have really bad effect on the action. One point more on the bow is that you said you didn't touch it for time, and didn't mention an inusual angle on the trem so...
try so, push a strung on the first and after the last fret, ouy should have a distance of around 0,8mm between the srting and the 12th fret

unusual angle? umm.. im not sure what you mean by that, before i stored it away it was set up all nicely with the trem angle all set n stuff, i didnt touch it for a while so I dont know..

if the trem knife is perpendicular to the pods than it's not a trem problem

pods? you mean like how if the knives are perpendicular to the guitar body? and umm so if it its that mneans that it is only the necks fault? thanks

sorry i meant studs, perpendicular to the studs, or parallel to the body

do it, you can't notice it only by spotting the neck unless the neck is wasted!!
