All hail chapstick (and Rich)!
My (new) UV777PBK was returning so sharp after pullups on the trem that I thought I'd somehow managed to kill it after only a few months of playing.
After a bit of scary reading about filing and other nasty solutions, I noticed the Chapstick trick on Rich's site. A quick application and a few turns of the studs, and holy nuts, it returns nearly perfectly every time!
It's a little nasty in the trem cavity by the posts now, but I'm a happy camper! Thanks Rich for posting it!

Yeah, Rich's site has helped me feel really comfortable with doing my own set ups. Thus saving me £40!

I use a product called TW25B its a dry lubricant.Just brush a small amout on on the trem post and knife edges. It will not attract dust and dirt and will repel moisture.Navy Seals and US Army Rangers use this stuff to protect their weapons from the elements. It works great on standard nut guitars too.

OK, but where does one go about getting some of this stuff other than mugging a Seal or a Ranger? I'd rather use Chapstick than get killed by a Seal for snagging his gun lube.

Google is you friend. Looks good, as any PTFE impregnated resin is also good, I just happen to like the lip balm.
