In the last three months, I have gone through three
Ibanez bass guitars after hearing a peculiar sounding noise. The first two basses were the same model, and I figured that it might be a model problem. Last night I traded up for a better model, and this morning I heard the same interference. The reason I didn't initially attribute it to my amp is because I used the guitars on a different amp and cable and eventually heard the same problem. I puzzled by that and can't explain it. Nonetheless, I'm now given to wondering if I actually have a problem with my amp, which is an Ibanez SW35. I bought it new also three months ago. The noise sounds a little similar to morse code and lasts no more than about five seconds at a time. It's a peculiar noise in that the pattern it makes is almost exactly the same every time when it occurs, which is sometimes randomly and sometimes 15 to 20 minutes apart. I'd appreciate any ideas as to what this might be.
