Amp start making constante static noises :(

I been using this peavey 6505+ head with marshall 1960A cab for about 5 or 6 month now, its been working great but it started to make noises just like those small practice amps. I tried to turn off my computer or lights and phone off, and unplug the chord from input, nothing helps. does anyone know how can i fix this problem, thanks.

Re: Amp start making constante static noises :(

9 out of 10 times, noises with a tube amp are caused by either a bad tube or dirty tube sockets. A trip to the repair shop may be in order. You can try a new set of preamp tubes. You could also spray some contact cleaner on the old tube pins and install/remove the tubes a few times to clean the sockets. Power tubes should be installed as a set and should be biased by a tech for maximum tube life. Tube amps can sound great but they will require maintenance just like your car.
