An AANJ Neck Pocket Question

Hey guys,

I have a complete JEM body that's built to JEM specs, and I'm looking for a neck to put on it. The one issue that's concerning me is the neck pocket: AANJ, 57mm width. I can't seem to find any 57mm wide AANJ necks - they're always either 56mm or 58mm. Would either of those be compatible with my existing pocket? I hear that the 56mm's are sometimes a bit wider (56.5mm range)...

If these necks WOULDN'T be comparable due to the 1mm difference, does anyone know where I'd be able to get a 57mm AANJ neck (one that already exists, NOT from a luthier).

Builders like to leave extra clearance for paint. That body is probably for a 56mm neck.

Completely agree. Although if in doubt by the 58mm neck and widen the pocket.

To be honest 1mm of gap wont make a huge difference.
