Andy Timmons - Extremely low action. How?
I was watching his Resolution DVD tonight and noticed how utterly slammed his action is. I've read someone saying how they played his guitar at a clinic and the strings were basically laying on the frets. Anyone know how he does this? He has a 12" radius, right? I'm guessing it's either been flattened or is a compound radius atleast?
Same applies to Satch too I guess?

Ones mans low may not be another.
Either way, very low action can be had on almost any neck. However, some may not like the compromises it brings.
Anyone have any actual measurements from either guitar?

I think the term "slammed" was used.

I just looked on my ruler, and no "slammed".

Slammed - when your lowrider can't make it over a speed bump - slammed.

Haha, yes, slammed. The universal term, surely?
I'm just surprised that he can get the bends he can, on the action he has. You can kinda see it here, at around 6:00 and beyond -
