Anyone interested in a Drop D for lo-pro Edge?

Hey guys,
I have made a Drop D lever that fits on the back of a Lo-Pro Edge and I will be making a couple for myself. There is no modification needed to the guitar or the LO-pro other than needing to block the trem or use a trem stalizer(which is what i do).
Any of you guys interested in something like this? The price would be about $50.
Thanks.

John

yeah...definitely interested.
what's the material it's made of?
can you post a pic of it installed?
Do you think it will do a drop-A on a 7string?

it will be made of stainless steel or tool steel. probably stainless steel. i can't post a pic yet because the design is still unprotected right now. i have a seven string. i'll check that out and let you know. thanks.

I would be very interested in two or three of these. I'm guessing you are going through the patenting stage now so we can get a look at the design? Also, how do you construct it? CNC, lathe, milling, casting, forging or something else? i'm just asking because if i was going to get something like this, it'd be great if it was well made and lasted as long as the trem. Keep up the good work! Cheers

Yeah i'd be interested in one for a 7-string, though my trem is a Lo TRS.

Re: Anyone interested in a Drop D for lo-pro Edge?

These will be milled from a solid piece of Stainless steel on a CNC, and I designed it on a Mastercam program. I have made a version for the regular Edge from the same material and it shows no where after a year, and I drop D a lot.
Chud, this will NOT work on a non lo-pro, but the D-tuna may work for you.
Yes, I am in the beginning of the patent stages, so once I can release the design, I will email pictures to those of you who are interested.
Ant1981: this is not a stabilizer. It's a drop-D attachment for the Lo-Pro.

Thanks!

John

Re: Anyone interested in a Drop D for lo-pro Edge?

How does it work John?

Usually I would use a stabilizer and use the fine tuner wound in to tune to E then wind it out to drop to D.

Without the stabilizer, every other string goes slightly out of tune as the tension of the E string slackens as it is dropping to D.

Re: Anyone interested in a Drop D for lo-pro Edge?

i don't have an edge pro. if i can get a look at one i will let you know.
ant1981: yes, you still need a stabilizer, but now you would just pull the lever out and it's in Drop D position. push it in and it's back up to E. Just like the EVH Dtuna works, but it's a completely different design since the EVH wont wotk on lo profile trems.
Thanks.
