Anyone use chalk or powder?

I played a outdoor gig today and it was so hot and muggy that my hand was just sticking to the back of the neck and fretboard like crazy. I used fastfret on the fretboard but it was still tough to play well.
I was thinking that some chalk like you see in the pool halls would be good to make things slippery. Or maybe a small bottle of baby powder would do the trick.

Nah, I doubt a fan would have helped. There was a nice light breeze, but it was just really humid.

I haven't tried it, but it totally makes sense, the problem the chalk solves in the pool hall is precisely the same problem the guitar player has. Good idea.

I used to put baby powder on the back of my neck every once in a while. It kept it silky smooth.

Wouldn't it get onto the strings and make them all gunky?

Maybe, but I think you could put the chalk on your hands then pat most of it off.
