B-string buzzing at trem - How do I get rid of it?

On the RG-570 I just picked up, the b-string buzzes obnoxiously at the trem. It buzzes at every fret, and (of course) buzzes more obnoxiously the harder I hit the string.

Anybody know how to remedy this? I've fixed fret buzz on a few guitars before, but I've never had the buzz at the other end of the string.

Thanks,
--Brent

B-string buzzing at trem

Have you checked the string saddle for any burs? *It sounds like there is something preventing the string from properly resting on the saddle. *Perhaps the saddle itself isn't seated correctly and is creating the buzz.

Maybe you could shim the b-string saddle with some pieces of paper (or a business card)?

Is the nut-slot for the b-string too low? *Look where the b-string passes over the first fret. *Does the string nearly touch the fret?

Just a few ideas...

B-string buzzing at trem

Brent,
Sounds like the 'hinge' on the bridge saddle might actually be a little looser than it ought to be - I recall having come upon this a time or two before.
You might want to loosen the B string, and check to see how loose and wobbly the back part of the saddle is. It might be clamped onto the bridge plate just slightly askew, too, allowing vibrations to rattle the pivoting part against one of the adjacent saddles.
If it IS too loose... Hmmmm. Not that this would be /everyone's/ answer, but my next move would be to use a bit of a pad (light card/bristol board or similar) and a vice-grip tool - or a vice - and carefully crimp the 'U' part of the saddle *** JUST ENOUGH to snug it up a tiny wee bit - Too much and it could hinder the fine-tuning action, and really bugger things up.
Anyway, it's something to check on, and if it happens to be true, there's the squeezing method (careful!) or perhaps a replacement saddle assembly.
Just a thought.
